- 2 cups shelled peanuts
- 3/4 cup palm shortening
- 3 tbsp brown sugar (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Blend peanuts in a food processor until smooth.
- Heat palm shortening, sugar, and salt in a saucepan, over medium-low heat.
- Stir in the ground peanuts and mix well to avoid lumpiness. If mixture is too thick, add more palm shortening.
- Leave to cool for about 2 hours. Makes approximately 2 1/2 – 3 cups
